Individual Bios

Sam is from Ft Worth, Texas and is an original member of The Texans When he was 14 years old, he began singing in church with his family. Then at the age of 16, he surrendered to the ministry of Christ. He has been preaching and singing for thirty years. His true desire is to see thousands come to know Christ through his music. This award winning person is truly a soldier for God.

Brenda started singing at the age of 13, with a local group and in the choir at school and church. Then in high school, she traveled with Accelerated Christian Education, promoting Christ in education. In her senior year of high school she sang with The Redemption Trio. After marrying Sam, she began her career at home as the mother of three children. Now, 25 years later, the Lord has sent her back to the music ministry. Her beautiful voice and comedic talents, add a new dimension to The Texans new sound.

Curtis, the youngest child of Sam and Brenda, began singing at the age of three. He and his sisters had their own gospel group, singing at churches in the Texas area and the Grapevine Opry. He has been involved in music most of his life. In junior high and high school he learned to play percussion instruments and still loves to wrap his hands around a pair of drumsticks. The great blend of family harmony is what most groups spend years trying to accomplish.
